A wide transparent blood red, bright yellow, and robin's-egg blue corkscrews wind around each other about a turn and a half forming one of Akro Agate's most popular marbles: the SUPERMAN CORKSCREW. The little eyelash-like marks are present at the poles indicating the marble was made no later than 1922--the earliest days of American machine made marbles.
CONDITION: MINT 9.6 The surface is wet and shiny with no sign of wear of any kind. All I can find with a bright light and lens are some very very tiny melted dimples that are hard to see even under magnification or these greatly enlarged pictures. Guaranteed not to have been dug, like most of these larger Superman and Parott types I've seen--especially in the last year or so. You may click here to view the grading system I use. | |||||
