Here is an absolutely gorgeous old Geman handmade Clearie with a ton of the large mica flakes floating just beneath the entire surface of a transaprent emerald green base glass. There is a single pontil mark, first picture, that has been exquisitely ground and at the other end there is only a small dimple--looks like a single pontil marble to me. The ground pontail mark is the earliest method used to finish glass marbles, circa 1850-1870.
CONDITION: MINT(+) 9.7 The surface is bright, wet, and shiny with only the slightest hint of microscopic wear that only shows 200 watt light and 20x lens. There are no pinpricks, sparkles, reflections or anything whatever. You may click here to view the grading system I use. | |||||
