Exceptionally well made marble with alternating green/red/yellow, and blue/pink/white ribbons at the core mirrored by alternating yellow and white lattice ribbons just below the surface of a very clear base glass that is nearly filled with a myriad of tiny to microscopic bubbles. Although one of the pontail marks are slightly ground, I still would date this marble to the latter part of the German marble making era, circa 1880-1910.
CONDITION: MINT(+) 9.8 PRISTINE! Shiny, wet surface with no wear, pinpricks, cracks or anything else. So rare to find one of these old German handmades in condition this nice, especially in the larger sizes. You may click here to view the grading system I use. | |||||
