Oposing opposing yellow and white panels cover a transparent clear base glass and are covered with spots and streaks of red, pink, deep cobalt blue, and extremely rare black. One of the pontail marks is a pigtail melted to near oblivion and the other is exceptionally well ground. There is so much going on with this marble I have provided extra pictures: The first two are of the pontail marks and then there are eight images of 1/8th turn rotations for you to be able to see the exquisite workmanship of this brilliant 19th century artist. CONDITION: MINT 9.6 Wet, shiny surface with only the slightest hint of minor wear that is invisible to the naked eye and requires the aid of at least a 10x jewelers loupe and a bright light to see. It is nearly impossible to find these old handmades in anything like the wonderful condition of this one. You may click here to view the grading system I use. Size 32.21mm or 1.27" at the equator. | |||||
