Here is one of the sweetest offerings you will find from the early 20th and late 19th centuries. A clear base glass that is filled to the surface with tiny stretched bubbles. On the surface are opposing bands of lutz ribbons edged with white, and double red ribbons between. All lutz marbles are rare, and red seems to be the most popular of all the available colors. But to find any marble of this vintage in this near perfect condition is nearly impossible.
CONDITION: MINT(+) 9.7 Wet surface without the slightest trace of wear at all. There are slight traces of surface air bubbles that are easily seen in the pictures. Also, I just found, by using a bright llight and 10x jeweler's loupe, a very small fingernail mark. Totally invisible to the naked eye. There are few handmade marbles that you will ever find that are this clean. You may click here to view the grading system I use. Size 17.9mm or 0.685" at the equator. | |||||
