1-19/32" Antique German Handmade NAKED RIBBON Core Swirl

Item# GM1547
I've never seen anything quite like this one. The clear base glass has a naked surface, i.e., there are no ribbons or outer decorations. At the core is a rather complex ribbon consisting of: transparent red and cobalt bands on the ends, the center of the ribbon effectively spreads out into two panels: white lattice on one side facing yellow lattice on the opposite.
One of the pontail marks is very finely ground and faceted while the other is melted to near oblivion, which helps to date the marble to the early German marble manufacturing period, circa 1850-1880.
CONDITION: NEAR MINT 8.7 The surface has a fairly light covering of minor wear which is easily seen in the pictures--click on the first image for a greatly enlarged detailed view. There is a single shallow partial moon shown in the center of the third and toward the left-center of the fourth pictures. The lines seamingly emminating from the moon are not fractures or cracks, but something like a wrinkle in the glass.
I can find no major damage to the marble.

Size 40.87mm or 1.609" at the equator.
