An empty clear glass core is nearly covered with a "skin" of white streaks that is in turn adorned with opposing panels of pink and blue streaks, then the whole thing has a casing of clear glass. One of the pontail marks is exquisitely ground and the other is a melted pig-tail, which helps to recognize the date of manufacture as circa 1850-1880.
CONDITION: MINT(+) 9.7 The finish is wet and shiny with no sign of wear at all. There is a crease in the casing glass that twists around the surface from pole to pole. You may click here to view the grading system I use. Size 17.20mm or 1.464" at the equator. | |||||
