Panels of red spots and streaks are laid over a thin layer of yellow which acts as a skin over a clear base glass, then the entire marble is encased in a layer of clear.
One of the pontail marks is a melted pig-tail and the other is finely ground and faceted which helps to date the production to the period circa 1850-1880. CONDITION: MINT(+) 9.7 Wet, shiny surface with no sign of play, or wear, or any as-made anomalies that i can find even with the aid of a bright light and lens.
