1-1/4" Antique German Handmade DIVIDED CORE Swirl

Item# GM1556
Just below the surface of a slightly tinted clear marble are three equally space sets of lattice-like ribbons that surround three wide white ribbons that are decorated with colored lines, each different, including green, blue, and quite rare purple. Both of the pontail marks are unfinished, which indicate the marble was manufactured sometime circa 1880-1890, but judging by the colors of the base glass, as well as the core, I would guess the date would be closer to the 1880 time period.
CONDITION: NEAR MINT 8.99 The surface is nice and shiny and there are no pinpricks, annealing lines, hits or bruises. However; with the aid of a bright light and lens, there is some evidence of tiny, shallow pitting such as you would expect with debris on the shaping tool, like ash from the furnaces that would have been hard to avoid considering the environment in which these artists worked. Most of what you see in the images provided are sub-surface air bubbles. The anomolies I've tried to describe are much too small to have been made by any sort of play or normal wear, and, in my opinion, are as-made in production.
If, after you get the marble home, you don't agree, remember your satisfaction is 100% guaranteed including the return shipping.
