The rich color of the unique, to Akro Agate, oxblood leading the bright bluish-green and white opaque corkscrews around the cloudy vaseline base glass provides an eye-catching contrast that leads the eye straight to the extremely rare LIMEADE OXBLOOD when it is displayed with any other marbles no matter how attrative. This is one of the earliest of Akro's efforts evidenced by the little eye-lash like marks at each end of the corkscrew, images five and six, which were eliminated by the so-called "Freeze" improvement in the spring of 1922.
CONDITION: MINT 9.6 Wet, shiny surface with no sign of play or wear. Using a bright light and jewelers loupe, I can see a couple of clearly as-made pinpoints that are completely invisible to the naked eye. You may click here to view the grading system I use. Size mm or " at the equator. | |||||
