Heavy rich oxblood and eggyolk yellow trace each other around a semi-opaque cloudy white base glass to constitute one of Akro Agate's most prized collectables: the EGGYOLK OXBLOOD corkscrew. The little eyelash-like marks are present at both poles, first and second pictures, indicating the marble was produced before the so-called "Freeze" improvement which was implemented in the spring of 1922 for the purpose of eliminating these marks--ergo this is one of the earliest of the Akro Agate ventures into the world of marble manufacturing.
CONDITION: MINT(+) 9.8 Exceptionally wet and shiny surface with no indication of any kind of play or wear of any kind what-so-ever. There are a couple of white lines in some of the pictures that are only stray strands from my cleaning rag. You may click here to view the grading system I use.
