Here is a gorgeous old rarity: a two color ribbon lutz swirl consisting of a thick ribbon with cherry red on one side and powder blue on the other with wide lutz bands trimmed in white at either edge. Both pontail marks are unfinished, an indication that the marble was made sometime in the late Victorian period, circa 1880-1910--well over 100 years old.
CONDITION: MINT 9.6 Shiny wet surface with just the slightest whisper of microscopic wear and some very light pitting over the blue, too small to be called pinpricks--most likely some sort of debris on the artist's finishing tools. There isn't even any dirt in the pontail marks. These two-color lutz marbles can be found, but when is the last time you saw one in this condition?
