Lustrous transparent red and green ribbons meet at two opposing seams on a white base glass genuinely adding contrast to the defining colors. The National Line Rainbos are the older and more desireable of the Peltier products, circa 1920s-30s. As most Peltier collectors know, when the NLR marbles reach sizes of 3/4" and over, it seams that they tend to lose their distinctive pattern and a lot of their eye-appeal; fortunately, this one has the brilliant colors and distinguishing look that holds with the best of them. Unfortunately, it is nearly impossible to find these larger examples in anything but well played with condition, or containing the all too familiar blow-holes and pits--this one is just like the day it left the factory.
CONDITION: MINT(+) 9.7 The surface has the wet shiny look of a new marble with no signs of wear that I can find even when using a bright light and lens. You may click here to view the grading system I use. Size 19.62mm or 0.772" at the equator. | |||||
