This is a yellow based clearie with rather large, considering the size of the marble, mica flakes. Both pontail marks are unfinished, indicating the marble was made sometime during the late Victorian period, circa 1880-1910. This is one of the rarest of the mica, especially in this true peewee size.
CONDITION: NEAR MINT 8.9 Nice shiny wet looking surface with just a trace of minimal wear. There is also a flake located at the right edge of the first picture that looks like where a piece of surface mica popped off. Also, in the second picture there are a couple of shallow trench-like marks that have melted edges. You may click here to view the grading system I use. Size 12.59mm or 0.495" at the equator. | |||||
