Here is one of the most famous of all the Akro Agate marble line: the POPEYE Corkscrew. This example has dark blue and eggyolk yellow ribbons as well as the defining crystal clear base glass and accompanying white wispy strands. Also, this is the nice fat over 11/16" size that would have qualified as a shooter back in the day.
CONDITION: MINT(-) 9.3 Wet, shiny surface with no sign of play or wear; there is however, a couple of sub-surface reflections and coresponding tiny circles that I could not capture with my camera. If you look closely at the second and more revealing fifth pictures you can see what there is to see. You have to rotate the marble just right beneath a bright light to find or photograph it. You may click here to view the grading system I use. Size 17.71mm or 0.697" at the equator. NOTE: 11/16 = 0.685 | |||||
