Here is a premium, museum quality, example of an old German handmade BANDED LUTZ Swirl. There are two opposing wide lutz, trimmed in white, bands running from pole to pole that are separated by opposing twin green bands, all just below the surface of a crystal clear base glass. Both pontail marks are unfinished and as clean as the day they were made. Manufacture circa 1880-1910.
CONDITION: MINT(+) 9.7 Pristine wet mint surface with no sign of wear what-so-ever. There are a couple of very minor as-mades, but the single noticeable anomoly is that the marble is slightly larger at the equator than between the poles. You may click here to view the grading system I use. Size 14.28mm or 0.562" at the equator. | |||||
