It's been 20 years since I've seen a whole CAC AMBER GUINEA. I have had a couple of dozen guineas over the years but they have all had an either transparent clear base glass or cobalt blue. There must have been something about the Christens's amber glass that caused it to break because there have been plenty of halves, and only a couple that had seen a lot of battle, but this is the first in all that time in this wonderful mint condition. And to make it even more rare, this one is a single seam variety.
CONDITION: MINT(+) 9.7 The surface is wet and shiny with no sign of wear at all. All I can find with the aid of a bright light and lens are a couple of tiny melted dimples, clearly as-made and easily visible in the accompanying pictures.
