Here is a true peewee with alternating sub-surface green and blue ribbons running pole to pole. Between two sets of these ribbons is a set of lattice lines that go a little deeper than the surface but nowhere near the core. One of the pontail marks is melted to total oblivion and the other is unfinished helping to date the marble to the late Victorian period, circa 1880-1910.
CONDITION: MINT 9.6 The surface is wet and shiny and shows no sign of play or wear. Close inspection with a bright light and lens, and with the ade of these enlarged pictures, you can see the marble is not quite round and there are some insignificant as-made melt spots.
