Here is a gorgeous dark forest green clearie with a large portion of mica flakes evenly distributed all around and just below the surface. One of the pontail marks is a twisted pig-tail and the other is exquisitely ground, which helps to date the marble to the mid-nineteenth century, circa 1850-1870. This extra large size is exceptionally hard to find, and even more so in this wonderful high mint condition.
CONDITION: MINT(+)9.8 PRISTINE, WET MINT. I can find no flaws, as-made or otherwise, even wit the aid of a bright light and lens. You may click here to view the grading system I use. Size 26.34mm or 1.038" at the equator. | |||||
