White, green, and orange corkscrews wind aroundd the surface of a crystal clear base glass qualifying this marble as a tri-color SNAKE or an orange and green POPEYE. There is also a film of orange partially covering some of the clear and a darker blended corkscrew between the orange and green.
These were produced in the 1920s and early '30s in boxes labled TRY-ONYX, and in the very popular POPEYE boxes. Orange and green are one of the more unusual color combinations, in fact, orange is a rare color to find in any POPEYE. CONDITION: MINT(+) 9.8 WET MINT. I cannot find a single flaw of any kind on this marble. PRISTINE Museum quality. You may click here to view the grading system I use. Size 16.18mm or 0.633" at the equator. | |||||
