I have these sold as flourescent POPEYEs, but most collectors agree that since a POPEYE has two or more colored corkscrews on a CLEAR base glass with opaque white wispy threads. This marble has the white wispy threads but they are in a base glass of vaseline yellow that is highly UV reactant and glows brightly when exposed to UV lighting. The green or yellow colors would be consistant with a LIMEADE or a LEMONADE; however, since there are both, I have to call this one a LEMONADE/LIMEADE Hybrid. Of course, when you own the marble, you can call it whatever you like.
In any case, this would be a much rarer marble than most of the more common two color Popeyes, and having the full 3/4" size even more so. CONDITION: NEAR MINT++ Wet shiny surface with no sign of wear at all. There is a clearly as-made melted bubble depression and a pinprick that may or may not be as-made. Worst case NEAR MINT+++ You may click here to view the grading system I use. Size 19.00mm or 0.750" at the equator. | |||||
