Three sets of equally spaced, multi-colored ribbons occupy the core of a crystal clear base glass that is nearly filled with a myriad of tiny bubbles. Just below the surface, three sets of lattice-like ribbons mirror the core. One of the pontail marks is a melted pig-tail and the other is hand faceted indicating a manufacture date of circa 1850-1870.
A huge eye-catching marble that captures the eye in my curio display. CONDITION: MINT 9.2 The surface is wet and shiny with no sign of wear. The pontail marks are as clean as the day they were made and you can even see the spin marks. There are, however, three surface air bubbles that have popped out and are readily visible in the pictures. You may click here to view the grading system I use.
