This is a nice large, 13/16", old German handmade ICE-BLUE or AQUA-MARINE CLEARIE with a heavy application of medium to large sized MICA flakes scattered all the way around just beneath the surface. There is a single black? hair running from pole to pole inside, visible in most of the images.
Not the rarest of colors but certainly not the most common either. My granddaughter calls it her favorite flavour. Both pontail marks are unfinished indicating a manufacture period of circa 1880-1910. CONDITION: MINT 9.6 Beautiful wet shiny surface with no sign of wear at all. I can only find one spot where, judging by the shape, it looks like a piece of mica fell out while the marble was still hot--center of the fifth picture. You may click here to view the grading system I use. Size 20.82mm or 0.819" at the equator. | |||||
