The base glass is a cloudy translucent SILVER white with a wonderful streak of OXBLOOD that runs a full two unbroken, rather meandering twists to form a legitimate CORKSCREW.
The so-called Pre-Freeze marks are present indicating that this is one of the earlier, pre-1922, examples. With a full 3/4" diameter, and beautiful MINT condition, this jewel holds an integral position in nearly any high-end Akro, shooter, or oxblood collection. I know it looks great in mine. CONDITION: MINT(+) 9.7 The surface is wet and shiny looking with no trace of play or wear of any kind. All I can find to describe are some near microscopic melted dimples that are clearly as-made. There is one dimple shown near the center of the fifth picture as a dark speck that has oxblood in the bottom of it. You may click here to view the grading system I use. Size 19.04mm or 0.750" at the equator. | |||||
