A yellow base glass with dark blue ribbons marks this old Peltier 1940s Rainbo as a new one to me: I am told that collectors now call this one the INKY.
Peltier started the RAINBO line of marbles during the 1940s when, amongst other things, competition from other companies forced a cheaper method of production. This was when the RAINBO machine was introduced which made smaller marbles and used cheaper glass than that required of the more expensive National Line. CONDITION: MINT(-) 9.2 The surface is wet and shiny with no sign of play or wear but there are some tiny melted dimples with some sort of debris in the bottoms--all are quite visible in the pictures.
