This old timer is a remarkably well kept German handmade, English style, triple-ribbon DIVIDED CORE swirl. The colors are exceptionally bright and the glass is crystal clear; also, the pontail marks are both unfinish. Combined, these are all indications that the marble was made sometime during the late victorian period, circa 1880-1910, and probably for the English gameboard market that was very popular at the time, hence the English Style reference.
CONDITION: MINT(-) 9.2 The surface is bright and shiny with no sign of wear that I can find, even with the aid of a bright light and lens. The low mint rating is for the small annealing flakes, half moons, that occured during the cooling process. I believe they are as-made because of the lack of any evidence of play or use at all, even the pontail marks are as clean as the day they were made.
