I've always thought the NEW OLD FASHIONs that Champion Agate company produced were a charming and pretty marble, but this one beats all I've ever seen. I don't know that I've ever seen them make a FLAME before. The red and yellow swirls on a white base is pretty common to the type and this time the white base has taken on a pink hue through a considerable portion of the marble. Also, the large, 23/32" shooter, size is highly desireable as well as the wonderful mint plus condition. All goes to making this a perfect candidate for anyone's West Virginia flame collection.
CONDITION: MINT(+) 9.8 PRISTINE, WET MINT. I can find nothing wrong with this marble at all--one tiny clearly as-made melted dimple with smooth rounded edges, and I had to search for that. You may click here to view the grading system I use. Size 18.13mm or 0.714" at the equator. | |||||
