I'm pretty sure this is a product of the Champion Agate Co. from back in the 1930's. Being a solid color black marble and the patch with the same color black except there is a very generous amount of aventurine. As with all of my marbles, if I have misrepresented anything about the marble I will gladly refund the price plus I will pay for the return shipping. I remember when these were tossed in the jar or tobacco tin as play marbles, but they have recently gained tremendously in popularity and as a result the price, like most hard to find marbles, has skyrocketed.
CONDITION: MINT 9.5 The surface has the wet shiney look you expect from a mint marble, and there is no sign of play or wear that I can find, even using a bright light and jeweler's loupe. I can see some roller marks? or possible touch marks of some sort and some creases, but everything I have described, and shown, clearly demonstrates they were as-made and occured while the marble was still near melting hot. In short, the marble is as mint as the day it was made. You may click here to view the grading system I use. Size 16.01mm or 0.630" at the equator. | |||||
