The base glass is a beautiful dark ruby red with the defining Peltier feathered swirls. This one has more action than almost any of the NATIONAL ONYX that I can remember. these are some of Peltier's earliest marbles dating all the way back to the 1902s and '20s when the Peltier glass company first delved into the marble manufacturing business.
CONDITION: MINT 9.4 The surface is wet and shiny with just the slightest whisper of wear that is best shown in the third and sixth pictures, that is to say, hardly any at all. There are some melted dimples that is so common to this type, as well as, most peltier marbles. These are the most popular of all the Peltier slags and have become nearly as hard to find as the vaseline examples of which very few were ever made.
