I hate to be so repetitive about these PeeWees, but still, I am continually amazed at the skill it took for these 19th century glass artists to produce such a detailed work as this in such a small size. At the core of a crystal clear, less than 1/2", marble, the maker has managed to combine multiple ribbons of blue, green, white and teal into a nearly perfectly formed solid core, and then surrounded the whole thing, on the surface, with four sets of equally space red lattice lines that has left us with a piece of eye-candy to marvel at for well over a century.
CONDITION: MINT(+) 9.8 or better. The surface is wet and shiny as a new marble. I can find no flaws to describe, despite the fact that this marble has been subjected to well over 100 years of perusal. You may click here to view the grading system I use. Size 12.61mm or 0.496" at the equator. | |||||
