This is a really unusual combination for An Akro corkscrew. I hesitate to call it an onyx, because an ONYX has a colored glass with a white corkscrew; and a SNAKE has a surface corkscrew like this one but it should be on transparent clear, whereas this one is on a yellow base glass. Another unusal aspect to this marble is the seldom seen transparent yellow base glass, as well as the orange corkscrew. Neither are common colors for Akro Agate marbles.
Also, if you look close, you can see the little eyelash-like marks which indicate the marbe was made sometime before the Spring of 1922, when the Freeze improvement was installed that eliminated these marks. CONDITION: MINT(+) 9.8 or better. The surface has the wet shiny look of a new marble with no sign of play or wear of any kind. All I can find with a bright light and lens is a single tiny melted dimple that is clearly as-made. See the lower left edge of the second picture at about 8 o'clock.
