Here is a gorgeous translucent dark cobalt blue marble with the famous Peltier feathered white swirls surrounding the circumference and showing two cutoff seams. These are some of Peltier's earliest efforts when they entered the marble making business way back in the early 20th century.
CONDITION: MINT 9.4 The surface is wet and shiny like a brand new marble. There are some tiny, almost microscopic, pinpoints here and there and close examination with a bright light and lens show they have melted edges indicating they were part of the manufacturing process--my guess is there was some dirt or grit of some sort on the rollers. There are a couple of places in the fifth and sixth images that appear to be sparkles or moons--they are bubbles beneath the surface. You may click here to view the grading system I use. Size 15.95mm or 0.627" at the equator. | |||||
