Here is a delightful old German English Style handmade CAGED JELLY CORE PEEWEE. The base glass is extra clear with a translucent green and white core that has an almost tornado-like swirl to it. Surrounding the entire surface are six bright red ribbons that have a caged effect. It actually looks like there are more red ribbons, and I had to count them a couple of times, but the small size and the enchanting twist of the marble make it quite enough. This is an extraordinarily hard marble to find, and the manufacture-error is most regrettable, but there are many perfect views.
CONDITION: MINT(-) 9.0 The surface is quite nice and shiny with no sign of wear, as a mint marble should be. The (-) is not about pinpricks or bubbles that have burst; here we have a major pull-out mark where the marble was still very hot and touch something that it stuck to and when removed a devot was left. Check the second and sixth pictures. In a larger marble it wouldn't be much more that a minor mark. You can readily see that this is how the marble was made and left the factory. So, it is MINT, but at the low, low end. You may click here to view the grading system I use. Size 12.70mm or 0.500" at the equator. | |||||
