The base glass is a powder blue with lavender trimmed with white swirls called a BLUE LADY. The white trim is a rare feature of this example and is prized by collectors.
This marble was mistakenly known as a Christensen Agate product until just a few years ago when research reveal that it was actually made by the Alley Agate Co. during their sojurn at Pennsboro. Seen some use, but still a good place-holder until that mint one comes along. CONDITION: GOOD(+) The surface has a nice shiny look, and I guess most people would give it a near mint rating, but there is pinpricking and minor hits and scratches all over the marble with no mint view from any perspective. The first picture shows the best for condition. You may click here to view the grading system I use. Size 16.42mm or 0.646" at the equator. | |||||
