Here's an old West Virginia swirl that makes your mouth water. There are black swirls in a pistachio green base glass that also has swirls of transparent green that have their own crazy pattern--check the third and fourth pictures.
Also, the green base glass is highly ultra-violet, UV, reactive showing that it has a certain amount of uranium in the formula. This is the only PISTICHIO swirl I've seen with this feature. ALLEY AGATE, seems to have about ventured into nearly every aspect of marble making. CONDITION: MINT(+) 9.7 Or better. The surface is wet aand shiny with no sign of wear. All I can find, using a bright light and 10x lense, is a tiny as-made needle point, and some trifling sub-surface white sodash specks. Please excuse the lint from my cleaning rag, especially in the fifth picture. The sixth picture shows what appears to be a sparkle under the UV light, but I can't find it during inspection. You may click here to view the grading system I use. Size 16.91mm or 0.665" at the equator. | |||||
