The base glass is crystal clear with four alternating pink and blue outer bands on the surface surrounding an astonishingly well made white latticinio web in the center. The pontail marks are both unfinished which helps us to date the marble to circa 1880-1910. These tiny PeeWee, less than 1/2", handmades were made in Germany primarily for the gameboard market that was highly popular in England at the time.
CONDITION: MINT(+) 9.7-9.8 The surface is incredibly wet and shiny with no sign of wear and no surface air bubbles or anything else I can find. The condition of this marble is seldom seen in any antique handmade marble. You may click here to view the grading system I use. Size 12.10mm or 0.476" at the equator. | |||||
