There's quite a bit of deception going on with this old Akro Agate CORKSCREW. At first glance, you would think it was a two-color orange and tan PRIZE NAME, but with just a little bit of a closer look, you can see that the orange has a band of red right down the center of it and has a yellow tracer; moreover, the tan has many darker streaks and almost every one of them is a different color--some darker and some lighter; in fact, there is a narrow white band down the center that is flourescent and glows green quite handsomely when exposed to a black, UV, light. And, in addition to all that, there is a pale pinkish corkscrew between the orange and the tan on the opposite side from the yellow tracer.
CONDITION: MINT(+) 9.7 The surface is wet and shiny as a brand new marble. I can find no sign of play or wear of any kind. There are a couple of clearly as-made melted dimples and that is it. You may click here to view the grading system I use. Size 16.77mm or 0.660" at the equator. | |||||
