This has become one of the hardest of all the Peltier marbles to get your hands on. I've only had a very few over the years, and it has been several years since my last one. This is a Peltier NATIONAL ONYX with a hot VASELINE YELLOW base glass nearly filled with the requisite feathered white swirls. This little gem doesn't even need a black, ultra-violet, light to glow--sunshine will do it, but when exposed to a UV light it turns a brillian green which indicates it's higher than usual uranium oxide content. This also proves that the manufacture was sometime prior to 1941 when the use of uranium became illegal because of the government's use during WWII.
CONDITION: MINT(+) 9.7-9.8 The surface shows no sign of play or wear and has the wet shiny look of a brand new marble. You can see a couple of bubbles in the pictures that appear to be on the surface, but they are well below. There is a short shallow dent, but i failed to pick it up in any of the photographs. You may click here to view the grading system I use. Size 14.89mm or 0.587" at the equator. | |||||
