MINT 11/16+" Akro Agate RED/BLUE POPEYE CORKSCREW

Here's one of the most sought after of all the Akro Agate two-color Popeyes available: Bright RED and deep cobalt BLUE with an abundance of the white wispy threads on a crystal clear base glass. Some of the wispy threads have congealed into a corkscrew of their own and lie right on the surface with the red and blue in the manner reminescent of a SNAKE CORKSCREW. The colors, the wonderful mint condition, and the larger than 11/16" size make this one of the more desireable of the always popular Akro Agate Popeye series. CONDITION: MINT 9.6 Wet shiny surface shows no signs of play or wear, but there are a couple of melted dimples and a tiny open air bubble. These are from bubbles having risen to the surface and collapsing inward rather than popping outward. You may click here to view the grading system I use. Size 17.61mm or 0.693" at the equator.
