Here's one of the most difficult of all the Akro Agate ADE family of marbles to procure: The LIMEADE OXBLOOD.
All of the ADE family has the feature that they glow a bright green under an ULTRAVIOLET light. This is caused by the infusion of URANIUM OXIDE in the base glass recipe--also known as VASELINE glass. Most of the vaseline glass marbles have a yellow mossy tint; all, except for the LIMEADES which have a much heavier amount of the uranium oxice in the recipe which causes them to have a green mossy tint to the glass. When the famous Akro Agate OXBLOOD is added to the surface of these marbles you have a rare collectable indeed, especially when they are in such a beautiful mint condition such as this one. CONDITION: MINT(+) 9.5 The surface has the glossy wet shine expected of a mint marble. The only thing I can find is a tiny sub-surface reflection with an accompanying, almost invisible, fingernail-like mark that I couldn't get to show up in the pictures.
