Here's one for which you may search a lifetime and never find; In fact, I have, and here it is sold before I can even get it listed. Four opposing royal blue ribbons are separated by two white edged lutz ribbons where they all continue from pontail mark to pontail mark. One of the pontail marks are melted to near oblivion and the other has been so exquisitely separated from the cane that no grinding was required or even wanted. Manufacture date of circa 1880-1910.
CONDITION: MINT(+) 9.8 The surface has the glossy wet shine of a brand new marble and has no signs of wear, pinpricks, fractures, or any other anomalies that I can find even with the aid of a bright light and lens. If there is anything at all wrong with this marble, it would be that the second picture shows it to be slightly out of round, and to tell the truth, I still can't see it from anywhere except the picture. You may click here to view the grading system I use. Size 32.34mm or 1.273" at the equator. | |||||
