Here's one of the really rare ones from Akro Agate: The PURPLE and YELLOW POPEYE SHOOTER.
Purple and Yellow is always a popular color combination with Akro Agate marbles, as well as most brands, But to find one in this size has become a major undertaking. I didn't really realize just how scarce they had become until I sold my last one a couple of years ago and have been searching since. This is the first decent one I've seen in quite some time. I'm afraid it's not quite mint, but it's hard to tell that without close inspection. CONDITION: NEAR MINT 8.6 The surface has the wet glossy shine of a new marble, but close inspection with a bright light and lens reveals some tiny pinpricks and as-mades. The marble presents mint in hand but just doesn't quite hold up to microscopic scrutiny. Still, if you are collecting SHOOTERs, this one will fit right in with almost any high-end collection.
