Here is a huge old antique German handmade swirl with a very well designed white latticinio web in the core surrounded, just below the surface, by seven blue with white, and red with yellow bands. One of the pontail marks is melted to near oblivion, sixth picture, while the other, fifth image, has been ground and faceted, showing a manufacture date to be one of the earliest in the history of glass marbles, circa 1850-1870--well over 150 years old.
CONDITION: NEAR MINT(+) 8.9 The surface is nice and shiny with just the slightest hint of light wear. Near the top of the fourth image, you can see a small chunk of sub-surface sodash, just to the southwest of that is a very faint moon that I can't even feel with my fingernail. I would guess that this marble has had a pride of place in a curio cabinet or mantel for decades with occaisional perusal, maybe dropped on the floor, but it has certainly seen no play or abuse.
