Here's a gorgeous example of an extra-large 1-5/32" German handmade YELLOW LATTICINIO SWIRL from the 19th century. Wide red/white and blue/white ribbons alternate around the surface of a crystal clear base glass and surround an exceptionally well designed web of yellow threads at the core.
One of the pontail marks is a twisted pig-tail and the other is unfinished giving us an estimated manufacture date of circa 1870-1910. To have survived well over 100 years and remain in this wonderful mint condition is a true wonder of the marble collecting world. CONDITION: MINT 9.4 There is the faintest whisper of light wear that is only visible with magnificatioin. Also, there are two small inclusions that are clearly as-made surface air bubbles--each has a tiny speck of debris in the bottom and both are readily seen in the images.
