Translucent ORANGE and the famous Akro Agate OXBLOOD swirl around the surface of a cloudy translucent, almost silvery, base glass that is recognized as a member of the Akro Agate ACE family of marbles. This one shows the little eyelash-like marks in the OXBLOOD and the ORANGE indicating this to be one of Akro's earlier efforts--before the controversial "Freeze" improvements were implemented in 1922 that eliminated these marks.
CONDITION: MINT(+) 9.7 or better. The surface is wet and shiny with no sign of wear what-so-ever. All I can find with a bright light and jewelers loupe, is a tiny melted dimple that you have to look for to find. You may click here to view the grading system I use. Size 15.16mm or 0.597" at the equator. | |||||
