The base glass is crystal clear with a myriad of bubbles housing a bright cherry red "SNAKE" corkscrew that makes 2-1/2 to 3 full turns around the surface. The glass is so clear that the ribbon across the back of the marble shows through to the viewing side making it's photographing a chore indeed, especially the ends--fifth and sixth pictures. Red is one of the more difficult colors to find in the Akro SNAKE family of marbles, and is especially seldom seen in this bright cherry red hue, not to mention the gorgeous MINT plus condition.
CONDITION: MINT(+) 9.8 or better. The surface is wet and shiny without any sign of play or wear of any kind. I can't find nothing disparate, including as-mades, even with the aid of a bright light and jeweler's loupe. You may click here to view the grading system I use.
