Maybe not quite as rare as a red mica, but close, especially in this very large, for a mica of any color, near 7/8" size.
The base glass, of course, is a bright and sunny transparent yellow with loads of mica just below the surface on one side for the most part. The other side of the marble shows a rather large ghost core to which most of the mica on that side is adhering. Rather a unique arrangement for a very unusual marble. If you are looking for a great place holder, you need look no further, but if you're holding for one of this size, you will probably have it for a while. CONDITION: GOOD(+)-NEAR MINT(-)The only reason for the low condition rating, is that there are no MINT views. The entire surface is covered with tiny, tiny as-mades; as well as, some small pinpricks, collision marks, and a couple of crescents. Most of this becomes apparent when the marble is held in hand, then becomes worse with magnification. When sitting in my curio or a display box, none of it is all that noticeable.
