The cloudy translucent white base glass puts this marble in the Akro Agate ACE family, and either the CARNELIAN or the CHERRY swirls would be rather rare, but both of them together makes for a rare combination; now, add the famous Akro OXBLOOD and you have a very rare marble indeed. But we're not done yet: This beauty is also a 3/4", minus just a hair, SHOOTER which puts it in the category of not safe around collectors.
CONDITION: MINT(-) to NEAR MINT(+) The surface is wet and shiny and you can even see the faint roller marks the show the marble has not been polished, and there are no signs of wear; but, close inspection with a bright light and lens reveal several tiny melted dimples and some that are not so melted, these are so tiny I doubt they are the result of any play of any kind, but little air-bubbles that made it all the way to the surface. The pictures do a good job of describing what I'm trying to say. You may click here to view the grading system I use. Size 19.00mm or 0.748" at the equator at the widest point. | |||||
