It is absolutely amazing that this marble has made it for 100 plus years and remained in this prime unused condition. The brilliant CHERRY RED base glass, so highly contrasted with the WHITE swirls would have surely been some youngster's favorite SHOOTER had he been able to get his hands on it. Although merely a single stream SLAG marble, one of the oldest American made marbles, and seldom to be compared with the beautiful intricate designs of some of the later products, the dazzling presence of this gorgeous gem stands out in the crowd.
CONDITION: MINT(+) 9.8 PRISTINE, WET MINT. The slick shiny surface actually looks to be wet. I can find no sign of play or wear of any kind. The only thing I can even force myself to mention is some tiny shallow melted dimples, third picture, that have no affect on the condition of the marble.
