At first I wanted to identify this marble as a SILVER OXBLOOD, but it is a bit different than most of the SILVERs I've been aquainted with. The very dark OXBLOOD is in the form of a large, swirly patch on, what appears to be, after close inspection, a clear base glass with a translucent, nearly opalescent, white swirled cloud on the surface and inside; in fact, you can see the oxblood through the clear in a particularly good example of what I'm talking about on the left edge of the second picture.
CONDITION: MINT 9.5 Nice wet shiny surface with no sign of wear at all, but there are a very few clearly as-made pinpoints and short, shallow almost scratch-like marks with melted edges. You may click here to view the grading system I use. Size 15.73mm or 0.619" at the equator. | |||||
